These "Blinkies" are killing me!

All I want to do is put a few cute blinkies on my blog, but I'm having such trouble! I'm not a techie type so I am not quite sure how to post them to my template, let alone "adopt" them from the source. One lovely blogger was kind enough to put her source codes out for each of her own blinkies that she built, to copy and paste. I put one on, it's down below my "Old Spewings"

So I tried to use the same script, just changed the source, but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong? Is anyone here a technical guru?

HELP!
